The days are shorter, the nights are colder, and the beach carpark is emptier. Winter in Bondi can be dreary - but it can also be magical. Here's your guide to what is happening around Bondi in the next few months.
Be Spellbound by Bondi Winter Magic
The suburb really sparkles in Winter - as well as the regular Bondi Farmers Markets on a Saturday, the Sunday Markets, and the City2Surf, there is heaps to enjoy as part of the BWM festival. The Ice Rink will be back in action from July 2, and there will be loads of live music and art on the streets of Bondi. Check out our highlights from past BWM below.

Tough it out at Bondi Icebergs
Down there, they absolutely love a spot of winter swimming. The colder, the better. The winter swimming has been happening since 1929 (they had winter back then?!), and all kicks off on May 1. You can check out all the details here.
Sure, you can't show off your reps at the outdoor gym to a bustling Bondi Promenade, but Bondi's fitness scene is as pumping as ever in the winter months. You've got Yoga covered at Power Living (hot tip: try the six-week introductory project to get the ball rolling). The cool cats at BeachFit and F45 Training will get your heart rate up (right next door to the home of Bondi Radio, Neighbourhood Bar). Finally, we've got the new kids on the block - Golds Gym is opening soon in the new Pacific Apartment development. Certainly worth checking out.
Have a Staycation
The new QT Hotel, around the corner from Bondi Radio HQ, is the perfect excuse for locals to get away without getting away. We're sure the odd Winter rate specials will be on offer at certain points in the next few months.
Sundrenched Saturdays @ Neighbourhood Bar
We'll make you feel warm inside with the greatest line up of Bondi Radio DJs and special guests from 2pm-7pm every Saturday at the back of Neighbourhood Bar. Grab a drink - perhaps even a mulled wine for the peak winter months - and enjoy your Saturday arvos rain, hail or shine.
No amount of rain or wind can lock out the fresh beats from Bondi Radio - we broadcast 24/7. Tune in here!
