After a stunningly successful 2015 festival in Melbourne, Shir Madness returns to Bondi Pavilion on the 18th of September, and Bondi Radio is excited to be a proud partner of the festival that exhibits the best of Jewish music.
Headlined by Australian legend Deborah Conway and her husband, Willy Zygier (who is also the artistic director of the festival), the one-day even features a program that covers all genres of music. The four stages will create an atmosphere that simply can't be missed. From triple ARIA Award winning group Monsieur Camembert, The Bashevis Singers (the side project of up-and-coming Australian band HUSKY), and African-Indie folk superstars, The Miriam Liberman Trio
A highlight of the program is the Song of Songs - a collection of covers of legendary Jewish artists by a huge range of Australian artists including Steve Kily from The Church, Dave Faulkner from the hoodoo Gurus, Mahalia Barnes and Conway herself.
Bondi Radio is proud to be a partner of this outstanding community production.
