BEHIND BONDI RADIO
If Bondi had a frequency, Hodgie would be the one tuning it in.
Keith “Hodgie” Hodgson has spent more than 30 years in music, radio and entertainment, from his early days broadcasting and DJing in Edinburgh to a career in Sydney spanning radio, venues, events and DJing. Before launching Bondi Radio, he spent 10 years with Bondi FM as a DJ, presenter and event organiser, building a strong connection with Bondi’s music and creative community.
In Bondi, he owned and ran the Neighbourhood bar for seven years, hosting DJs and live music - and it was there that Bondi Radio first began broadcasting. Bondi Radio then moved to the iconic beachfront venue The Bucket List, where Hodgie spent five years as Entertainment Manager and resident DJ, before moving the station to The Royal Hotel on Bondi Road with Merivale.
Those years helped shape what Bondi Radio is today - a station built from within Bondi’s music, nightlife and hospitality community, with a long history of bringing together DJs, artists, venues and audiences.
At the heart of Bondi Radio is a simple idea: give people a platform to be heard. The station gives DJs and presenters the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, grow their following and connect with a real audience, while giving established and emerging talent a place to share their music.
Today, Bondi Radio broadcasts 24/7 from Sydney, connecting DJs, presenters and artists with listeners around the world.
